One of ECSC's primary goals is to place a PDL franchise in Ellis County by the 2007 or 2008 season. As the summit of our regional club pyramid, the PDL team will provide the opportunity for all members of the community to watch top-level soccer in an affordable setting. Select team members within club and younger, recreational players will have the opportunity to watch the players at the club's pinnacle in both matches and training sessions, seek advice on playing, get autographs, and glimpse first-hand what the future may hold for them with the proper level of dedication and hard work. The club founders hope to move the PDL franchise toward full professional status within 7 years of its inaugural season.
The soccer stars of tomorrow live in the only national development league for men's soccer, the Premier Development League. The PDL provides top US and Canadian players under 23 years of age with the opportunity to perform in a professionalized setting during the summer months while maintaining their collegiate eligibility.
